Before...
baby's birth day
- Meet Up of the Mamas- From one Mama to another, this time is for us! This is a time for you and me (and hopefully your partner), to come together. I love this very informal chance to get together, talk and get to know each other. Yes, partners are encouraged to join!
- Pre-natal Appointments- Starting at 36 weeks, I will join you at two prenatal appointments. This is an excellent opportunity for me to walk along side, as you and your doctor assess your needs, while I help you explore your birth options, discuss wishes and fears, all while providing you with the tools and knowledge you need for a positive birthing experience.
- Techniques- As your Birth Coach, I will help you prepare with relaxation and pain coping techniques, as well as labor positions- all will be used to support you on your birthing day.
- Communication- I offer unlimited text, call, and email support for the duration of your pregnancy and up to 2 weeks postpartum.
During...
baby's birth day
- Calm & Relax- My mission is to calm you and help you feel in control. My hope is that we can have conversations before hand, to help you feel most comfortable during labor, as I offer support.
- Breathe- We will practice breathing techniques beforehand. My goal is to be a gentle reminder to use the techniques we have already practiced.
- Position- Again, helping you relax and feel calm and in control, will be my primary desire. Practicing positions beforehand is very important to me, as I know this will help you relax, which is key to calm birthing.
- Partner Support- My goal is to be able to not only support you mama, but to also get to know and understand your partner, so I know when I am needed and when to step back.
- Coping Techniques- Although affirmation cards can be purchased ahead of time, they are not necessary. In addition, we will practice this technique as well as other techniques used for calming and coping during labor.
After...
